Chief Operations Officer

TSICOM is young company based in Houston, Texas, with staff that has a multitude of experience, consisting of more than 20 years, in the field of technology, such as Technical Support, Structured Cabling, Wireless Solution, Servers and critical storage, Cloud, Optical Fiber, IT Project Management, Alarm System, Surveillance Camera and more. In our experience we provide multilanguage Information and Communications Technology (ICT) consulting services to public and private organizations worldwide. TSICOM supports planning, management, small procurements, implementation, and integration of information technology solutions. TSICOM is made up of a work team that is multidisciplinary. We conduct business in Latin America as well as the United States, with emphasis in the telecommunications and IT, security, industrial and financial sector. We implement projects tailor-made turnkey, attending to all organizational aspects, operational and financial (Personnel, Opex, Capex, Inventory, synergies, efficiencies, crisis) among others.

TSICOM has a newly created position for Chief Operating Officer in Houston, Texas.

This position will report to the CEO and will be a crucial part of the team. The ideal candidate will be a resourceful problem-solver and team player who thrives in a challenging and dynamic work environment with high expectations. They will think out of the box and a driver for results. Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure while still delivering excellence. The candidate will need to previously demonstrate their ability to create and foster a service culture throughout the organization, demonstrate the ability to foster cross-functional collaboration, inclusion, and integration for organization-wide success. Proven record of managing others through strategic execution and goal achievement. Ability to provide seamless integration and coordination of effort among departments, programs, and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership for expansion of the company’s portfolio.
  • Manage key projects and initiatives related to strategic business goals, facilitatingprocesses, and resolving challenges.
  • Plans and directs all aspects of the organization’s Strategy, Objectives, initiatives, andpolicies. Directs the development of the team with an emphasis on maximizing the value of the existing portfolio and growing the portfolio through acquisitions, development, and value creation.
  • Lead the organization to become a best-in-class organization.
  • Responsible for attainment of short and long term financial and operational goals.
  • Responsible for developing and reviewing strategic plans and prepares an annual consolidated business plan for approval by CEO.
  • Responsible for approving portfolio operating budgets.
  • Oversee all joint venture relationships, ensuring that partners’ performance is alignedwith Agreements and investment expectations.
  • Reviews and approves annual budgets for each of the areas of his/her responsibilityand prepares a consolidated operating budget for review by CEO.
  • Meets frequently with CEO and Partners to understand economic risks andopportunities.
  • Oversee all investment due diligence to ensure risks are identified and plans are inplace to mitigate known risks.
  • Oversee all aspects of ground-up development strategy, working closely with Partnersand the CEO to ensure that proper systems are in place to mitigate entitlement, construction, and market risks.
  • Reports to CEO on agreed upon schedule to review business environment,performance results, and course corrections.
  • Ambassador of Company Culture.
  • Oversee projects, budgets, and resources to provide good fiscal oversight and ensurethe best possible ROI on all cyber security investments to include staffing, hardware,software, and service providers.
  • Lead and manage IT projects and associated system integrators to deliver projects ofmedium to high complexity.
  • Developing and implementing strategies for improving time and attendance systemsand processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Fill the gap when needed and/or as requested from the CEO. Example: If needed to runwire, COO is required to do so to ensure proper productivity and profitability of the project/company.

  • Visual Acuity 1 – prepare, analyze data, transcribing, computer terminal, extensive reading. Hearing 2 – receive detailed information, make discrimination in sound.
  • Visual Acuity 2 – color, depth perception, field of vision.
  • Kneeling – bending legs at knee to come to rest at knees.
  • Visual Acuity 3 – determine accuracy, neatness, observe facilities/structures.
  • Lifting – raising objects from lower to higher position, moving objects side to side, using upper extremities, back.
  • Visual Acuity 4 – operate motor vehicles/heavy equipment.
  • Mental Acuity – ability to make rational decisions through sound logic, deductive reasoning. Visual Acuity 5 -close acuity for inspection of small defects, machines, use measurement devices, or fabricate parts.
  • Pulling – use upper extremities to exert force, haul or tug.
  • Walking – on foot to accomplish tasks, long distances, or site to site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field
  • Confident and skilled communicator (written and verbally)
  • Familiarity with project delivery methodologies (i.e Agile)
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills – must be able to clearly explain and demonstrate concepts/skills to others
  • Strong work ethic and be able to work both individually and in group settings
  • Ability to always represent TSICOM and related entities in a professional manner to ensure company policies and procedures as well as compliance to all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Professional presentation to be compatible with the established guidelines of TSICOM
  • Must be able to successfully complete criminal background screen.
  • Willing to Travel if need.
